I can’t tell you how bored I already am of every aspect of this match. Whatever mild interest I had has left the building. It’s done and dusted. With Tiger and Phil as locks the only intrigue is now around the final pick though Finau’s strong second at Ridgewood may have taken away all of that suspense too.
It’s totally understandable to regularly buy inexpensive golf balls if you tend to lose a lot of them or you just don’t feel that they affect your overall game much. However if you’re at least somewhat serious about your game and scoring laying down a little more cash can be well worth your while.
I like the rule too just to keep some of the big names checking in once in awhile at the needier Tour stops. Yet it seems unduly harsh in Spieth’s case. I mean this is the guy that came back to the John Deere a few years ago when he didn’t have to — and practically was all the star power at the Byron Nelson this year. Still the boys who have already weighed in are right. Bottom line is the bottom line and if by a quirk he just misses out on Atlanta I think Jordan can handle the freight.
