A. ENHANCING PUBLIC UNDERSTANDING OF NATURAL GAS ISSUES CONFERENCE
The first annual Public Natural Gas Education Conference is sponsored by the WVU Extension Service (WVUES) Natural Gas Education Team. During this conference we plan to present current topics and information about natural gas exploration in the Marcellus shale region. Guest speakers come from state higher education institutions, government entities, and private businesses. We hope you will join us for this event.
 
B. ABOUT THE WEST VIRGINIA UNIVERSITY EXTENSION SERVICE NATURAL GAS EDUCATION TEAM
The WVU Extension Service’s Natural Gas Education Team plans, coordinates, and provides programming on a variety of topics related to natural gas exploration in West Virginia. The team consists of a network of Extension personnel and other professionals. Goals of the team are to: 1) serve as a statewide resource in assisting our citizens who have resource concerns and questions regarding natural gas production in West Virginia; and 2) provide non-biased, research based educational material and programming to the citizens of West Virginia, which in turn will allow them to make better educated decisions regarding natural gas production in West Virginia.

D. INFORMATION SHOW
Informational displays will be setup to educate the public about current issues and past programming efforts presented by the WVUES Natural Gas Education Team. If you would like to have a display at the conference, please indicate this on the registration form.
 
E. REGISTRATION
It is FREE to attend this event, however, pre-registration is recommended by the deadline. Registration at the door will be accepted. Lunch, breaks, and parking are included. Parking is in the Waterfront Place parking garage.
